ALIED Auricular Acupuncture Course

Acupuncture Course description

This is an exciting, new Auricular Acupuncture CPD course designed for professionals working within the wider healthcare sector.

Students must be members of BAcC or AACP

Statement of the tutors intention.

To develop further the students skill, utilisation and integration of Auricular Acupuncture in a multi-disciplinary treatment approach.
To develop the students sensitivity to QI.

By the end of the course, students will enhance;

Skills
- Use safely and effectively a defined Auricular Acupuncture needle insertion technique.
- Develop a variety of diagnostic skills using the pinna.
- Apply a variety of treatment approaches using the pinna.
Knowledge
- Identify the appropriate anatomical structures of the pinna.
- Find and identify the skeletal system Auricular points (in particular the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral vertebral spine), and the 10 master Auricular points.
Understanding
- Understand the relevant and appropriate health and safety issues.
- Understand the basic functions of each of the Auricular points.
Attitudes
- Develop appropriate patient handling skills
