Acupuncture Training Courses at Your Location

ALIED Acupuncture Courses at your own location.

If you would like to hold a training course at your location, we can provide the tutor[s] if you would prefer to organise the course locally, or ALIED can organise the course for you. In either case, you will require a suitable venue with the following facilities:-

• A room suitable to hold the students and equipment as detailed below - 14 students maximum for one tutor
• Plinths - no more than 3 students to a plinth
• Sharps boxes, Cotton wool swabs and the means for their disposal
• Suitable Hand washing facilities
• Needles. For courses run by ALIED, these will usually be sponsored by one of the major suppliers, such as:
  • Harmony,
  • Oxford Medical,
  • Scarborough's.
• A PowerPoint projector and suitable projection area
• Convenient refreshment and lunch facilities - these are essential for all Acupuncture courses.

ALIED Organised Courses

Where ALIED is to organise the course, everything will be handled by ALIED and the Course Organiser needs only to provide the facilities listed above.

• ALIED will arrange provision of needles.
• ALIED will advertise the course on the ALIED website and on the AACP website.
• The student fees will be collected by ALIED directly and any potential students contacting the venue should therefore be directed to ALIED.
• It is normally possible to arrange for four free places to be available for local students, provided ALIED is not charged for use of any facilities at the venue and provided there are sufficient students from other locations to cover the costs.
• ALIED reserves the right to cancel a scheduled course if there is insufficient student support. In the event of a course being cancelled, student fees paid to ALIED will be refunded.

Locally Organised Courses

Where you opt to organise the course locally, the fee charged will include:-

• Tutor tuition fees, which include the provision of course manuals and consultative support / assessment of students written work between course parts.
• Expenses as appropriate
  • Hotel expenses at cost
  • Mileage @ 0.40 per mile
  • Other expenses at cost

Course organisers should approach one of the major Acupuncture suppliers with a list of needle requirements, which will be provided by ALIED.

ALIED will advertise the course on the ALIED website and on the AACP website at no cost to those requesting courses. Other advertising is the responsibility of the course organiser.

Where courses are locally organised, it is up to the course organiser to structure the student fees to ensure that costs are covered. It is normally possible for course organisers to be able to offer places to their local students at preferential rates, provided there are sufficient students from other locations to cover the costs. ALIED can advise on costing if required.

All ALIED fees attract VAT at the standard rate.

Conditions

All students attending ALIED courses are subject to Course Conditions. Course organisers should ensure that students are aware of these conditions and should seek guidance from ALIED in the event of any doubt.
