80 Hour Foundation Acupuncture Course - M-Level Accredited 30 APL Points

Acupuncture Course Content

This AACP Approved course is designed specially for Physiotherapists starting Acupuncture. It is based on the ALIED principles:-

• The evidence-based application of Acupuncture as an adjunct to Physiotherapy
• The use of Clinical Reasoning to determine appropriate treatment
• The integration of Acupuncture into the clinical practice of Physiotherapy

As an AACP Approved Course, the content of the course is defined, but the presentations by the Tutors will be tailored to meet the needs of the delegates.

Physiotherapists attending this course must be members of the CSP or have professional indemnity insurance covering all aspects of their practice. Other medical professionals may attend with prior agreement from ALIED.

The course requires ALL participants to receive and administer needling and participants should not attend the course if there are any reasons that prevent full participation. The course is NOT suitable for students who are or may be pregnant.

A Health Screening form will be sent to those applying to attend the course. This form must be completed and handed to the tutor on the first day of the course. The form will be kept confidential by the tutor.

The course contains 6 days tuition, with self directed study work between the course parts and after the final part. The self-directed study work is an integral part of the course and must be completed to a satisfactory standard to complete the course and obtain a 'PASS' certificate.

The course can either be run in two three-day parts, or as three two-day parts.

Satisfactory completion of this course will allow Chartered Physiotherapists Accredited membership of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists on payment of the appropriate subscription.
