M-Level Accredited Acupuncture Training
Traditionally, Acupuncture intervention during pregnancy has been avoided in the treatment of pain and associated musculo-skeletal dysfunction, either because of the risk to the foetus or to avoid undue adverse effects to the mother.
This is a two-day post-basic training course designed to introduce Physiotherapists to the safe use of Acupuncture whilst managing the pregnant patient. As an AACP Approved Course, the content of the course is defined, but the presentations by the Tutors will be tailored to meet the needs of the delegates.
All participants must have completed an AACP recognised Foundation Acupuncture Course.
The course requires ALL participants to receive and administer needling and participants should not attend the course if there are any reasons that prevent full participation. A Health Screening form will be sent to those applying to attend the course. This form must be completed and handed to the tutor on the first day of the course. The form will be kept confidential by the tutor.
