Statutory Regulation of Acupuncture Abandoned
The Government has finally abandoned any plans for the statutory regulation of Acupuncture.

M-Level Acupuncture Training Course Accreditation
ALIED is pleased to announce that its Foundation Course has been M-Level accredited to the University of Hertfordshire until October 2017.
New Courses
ALIED is pleased to announce new courses for 2011/2012 -
- First Aid & Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation. This one-day Practical Course is ideal for Practitioners and offers a three-year approval certificate.
- Manual Therapy & Acupuncture in the management of Pelvic Pain. This is a two-day course that introduces students to manual therapy assessment and treatment of the pelvis & strategies of rehabilitation and offers students a management procedure using Acupuncture in both Western and Traditional Chinese models for pain and dysfunction of the pelvis. - Diagnostic Ultrasound Techniques Integrated into Practical Trigger Point Needling. This is a pioneering, unique, two-day workshop combining the clinical expertise of diagnostic ultrasound scanning with the practical expertise of trigger point acupuncture for the deactivation of myofascial pain. Examples of the use of ultrasound scanning in trigger-point Acupuncture are available for viewing. Details of this Acupuncture course content are available for downloading.
- Top-Up Course. ALIED is also working on a 24 hour top-up course for those wishing to update their techniques, research background and to refresh their clinical reasoning. This course should be available in 2012.

Regulation of Acupuncture
After some study, the Government has decided not to introduce Statutory Regulation [SR] of Acupuncture. Students may be interested to read about the Government decision on SR.

M-Level Accreditation
The ALIED Foundation Acupuncture Course is M-Level Accredited to the University of Hertfordshire [UH]and the ALIED Principal, Jennie Longbottom, is a member of the University Staff.
Registration with UH is an option for Foundation Course Students and an outline of the M-Level Accreditation Process is available for students.
