TRIGGER POINT DRY NEEDLING FOUNDATION
Duration: 3 days (18 hourse CPD)
Dry Needling is a treatment technique whereby a sterile, single-use, fine filament needle (acupuncture needle) is inserted into the muscle to assist with decreasing pain and improving function through the release of myofascial trigger points (knots in the muscle).
Over the three days, all relevant theoretical and safety knowledge to be able to safely dry needle will be presented, and practical application of needling will be extensively practiced.
Successful completion of this 3 day course will provide you with the information and practical skills you require to integrate dry needling into your practical treatments.
This course is open to healthcare professionals working within a musculoskeletal setting e.g. physiotherapists, osteopaths, sports therapists, chiropractors.
Candidates must pass a written theory and a practical needling test in order to be deemed competent to apply dry needling.
Candidates will be expected to both needle and receive needling throughout the course.
